Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Global Tax & Reporting Centre of Excellence (CoE).
This role combines technical expertise in global tax compliance, financial reporting, and valuation with a strong focus on process automation and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate global tax reporting, supporting compliance with international tax regulations and accounting standards (including IFRS, US GAAP, and OECD BEPS initiatives), and driving strategic automation and transformation projects across the global tax function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting Valuations
- Prepare, review, and document in-house valuations supporting global financial reporting, including valuations of intangible assets, deferred tax assets, and complex financial instruments.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance valuation methodologies, financial models, and key assumptions in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and audit requirements.
- Support finance and tax teams in evaluating valuation impacts on financial statements.
2. Tax Reporting Automation & Process Improvement
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives to automate tax and financial reporting processes, including tax provisioning, return-to-provision reconciliation, and data extraction.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, strengthen controls, and reduce operational risks across the global tax function.
- Partner with Finance Technology (FinTech) and cross-functional teams in implementing tax technology solutions, including CbCR platforms, tax compliance tools, and automation initiatives.
- Act as a business stakeholder during system enhancements, testing, and deployment.
3. BEPS & International Tax Compliance
- Monitor developments related to the OECD BEPS framework, with a primary focus on Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax).
- Support Pillar Two readiness by assisting with impact assessments, financial modeling, data collection, and compliance activities.
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements and consistency with Master File and Local File documentation.
- Assist in maintaining global transfer pricing and tax reporting documentation in response to evolving international tax regulations.
4. Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Compliance
- Support global Corporate Income Tax compliance projects, including preparation of tax calculations, workpapers, and model enhancements.
- Assist in tax provision calculations and reporting processes.
- Provide technical documentation and analytical support during internal and external tax audits across multiple jurisdictions.
5. Technical Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with global tax subject matter experts and regional finance teams to prepare and review tax workpapers and reporting deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance Technology, Finance, Accounting, and external advisors to support global tax initiatives.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process documentation, and continuous improvement within the Global Tax & Reporting CoE.
Required Qualifications
Education & Professional Certification
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent international accounting qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience in corporate taxation, global tax reporting, financial reporting, valuation, or a related finance/accounting function.
- Experience supporting multinational organizations or global tax operations is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, tax technology implementation, process improvement, or automation projects.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP tax accounting and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of international taxation, including OECD BEPS initiatives, Pillar Two, and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR).
- Exposure to transfer pricing documentation and global tax compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience in financial modeling.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and tax technology platforms is preferred.
