Cloud Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, automate, deploy, secure, and support cloud infrastructure and application environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure, platform services, and application environments.

• Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

• Manage cloud networking, certificates, secrets, security configurations, and monitoring.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and deployment issues.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud technologies.

• Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, Git, and automated deployments.

• Docker, cloud networking, certificates, identity, secrets, logging, and monitoring.

• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, AI services, or enterprise application integrations is preferred.

Technical Screening Questions

1. How do you structure reusable Terraform modules and manage remote state, locking, variables, and secrets across multiple environments?

2. Describe how you would design a secure Azure network for an application using private endpoints, network security groups, and controlled internet access.

3. How would you build a CI/CD pipeline that supports automated infrastructure deployment and minimizes downtime during application releases?

4. Explain your process for managing certificates, secrets, service principals, and managed identities securely in Azure.

5. A cloud-hosted application becomes intermittently unavailable. What logs, metrics, and diagnostic steps would you use to isolate the issue?
